NDM Holds SEPUM-Wide Tree Planting Activity
Talaingod, Davao del Norte — Members, church leaders, and workers of the Northern Davao Mission (NDM) joined fellow Seventh-day Adventists across the Southeastern Philippine Union Mission (SEPUM) in a simultaneous tree-planting activity held under the theme, “Plant Today, Grow Tomorrow, Greener Future for All.”

The initiative was conducted throughout the NDM territory, with districts and local churches carrying out tree-planting activities in their respective communities. As part of the mission-wide participation, NDM administrators, departmental directors, staff, pastors, and church members gathered in Sto. Niño, Talaingod, where the central activity for the mission was held.

The program began with a devotional message emphasizing the Christian responsibility of caring for God's creation and being faithful stewards of the environment. Following the devotional service, participants proceeded to the designated planting site and planted bamboo seedlings and other tree species.

Representatives from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) were also present to facilitate the activity and provide guidance on proper tree-planting procedures, highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable development.

While the central gathering took place in Talaingod, churches and districts throughout Northern Davao Mission simultaneously conducted their own tree-planting activities, demonstrating unity and collective commitment to environmental stewardship.

Church leaders emphasized that the initiative goes beyond planting trees, serving as a practical expression of faith and responsibility toward preserving natural resources for future generations. The activity also reinforced the church’s commitment to supporting environmental programs that contribute to healthier and more sustainable communities.

Through the combined efforts of church members, mission leaders, local congregations, and DENR personnel, the SEPUM-Wide Tree Planting Initiative became a meaningful demonstration of cooperation and care for God's creation, inspiring participants to continue making a positive impact on the environment.
